No Promises

Track 1: Bouncers. The countries of the North make the decisions. Those of the South are left outside, like children on the pub steps, and the bouncers keep it so. A song for a new world order.

Track 2: When We Were Just Eighteen. I wrote this as a love song for the Saga generation. Love doesn’t age, even if our bodies do.

Track 3:  Keep Picking Up Your Feet. Life’s not easy, but what can you do? Just keep going – you’ll get home.

Track 4: Don’t Tell Me I’m A Nice Guy. When women dump you, they tell you what a nice guy you are. There just ain’t no market for nice guys!

Track 5: Spiritual for Easter. Just a feel-good, clap-along song for the springtime.

Track 6: She’s Leaving. Play this one when you’re driving!

Track 7: Walking Home Alone. A song for the unglamorous, the left-behind, the lovers who will always lose.

Track 8: Come To Sea. Join the Merchant Navy and see the world – or maybe not.

Track 9: Song for Diane. I wrote this for the brave, the kind, the unthanked lovers who nurse someone through to the end.

Track 10: Manhattan. European settlers bought Manhattan Island from the Native Americans for a few shiny coins, and laughed about it. But maybe the Native Americans had a different view.

Track 11: The Phone. Dating is hard. Here’s a guy who thinks it went really well, but did it? Or is the phone busted?

Track 12: No Promises. So many people, so many lovers, so many broken hearts. This time, no promises. A song for people who are still looking for Miss (or Mister) Right.
